A MAN who died after being struck by a car on Scotland’s busiest motorway has been named.

Nicky Edwards, 37, was hit by a Citroen Xsara on the M8 between Livingston and Bathgate on Friday night.

Emergency services were called to the incident at around 8.30pm, but Mr Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant Scott Sneddon said: “Enquiries are still ongoing and our sincere condolences go out to Nicky’s family and friends.”
