Man, 34, dies suddenly in north Edinburgh before forensics team seen investigating at the scene

A 34-year-old man has died suddenly in the north of the city.

Police were called to a property in the Waterfront Avenue area of Granton at around 10.15pm on Tuesday. The death is currently being treated as unexplained but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.

Video footage taken in the early hours of Wednesday showed forensics officers in white suits entering a building at the scene and an ambulance was also called.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.15pm on Tuesday, 6 July, officers were called to a property on Waterfront Avenue, Edinburgh, following the sudden death of a 34-year-old man.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, pending post-mortem, however there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. As with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
