A man caused £1800 worth of damage in a wrecking spree at his girlfriend’s flat.

James Gardner smashed a television, a mirror and a window during his rampage on Sunday, Livingston Sheriff Court heard yesterday. Gardner, 33, pleaded guilty to vandalism when he appeared from custody.

Paul Haran, defending, said the couple lived apart with the defendant staying in his own property in Broxburn Gardner was ordered to stay away from Evelyn and Shanice Kidd and their home in Livingston until after he is sentenced next month.
