Man arrested over armed theft in Ormiston

Staff were threatened and an airgun was fired during the incident at the Cooperative store in Ormiston last month.
A 23-year-old male member of staff sustained a minor injury during the robbery, which took place at 10.15pm on February 19.

Hide AdPolice said a 35-year-old man had now been arrested and charged and had been scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.
In a statement, Police Scotland said: “Police in East Lothian have arrested and charged a 35-year-old man in connection with an attempted armed robbery that happened at the Cooperative store in Ormiston.”
