A STASH of herbal cannabis worth £10,000 was recovered by police who searched a van and found the drug concealed in a guitar case.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act following the drug find in Craighall Crescent, Trinity, on Monday.
Officers then searched a property in the area and found various items associated with cannabis cultivation, which were seized.
The man is set to appear in court at a later date.
Detective Inspector Dave Pinkney said: “Officers made this discovery while carrying out routine duties in the area and, as a result, a sizeable quantity of herbal cannabis has been seized.
“Intelligence from the public, however, remains the most vital tool in tackling drug crime and anyone with information relating to drug-related criminal activity should contact their local policing team.”
