EDINBURGH man Dean Kerr has been accused of beating and stabbing two men in a Musselburgh street.
Kerr, Murrayburn Gardens, is said to have chased Fraser Smith and repeatedly punched him on the head and body before striking the man with the blade to his severe injury and to the danger of his life.
Kerr is also said to have attacked Lewis Watson by struggling with him to the ground before punching the man and stabbing him with the knife during an incident last year.
The 22-year-old appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, where he pleaded not guilty to both charges.
He will return to the Capital court for trial on January 11 next year.
Kerr denies assaulting Fraser Smith and Lewis Watson by struggling with them, punching both men to the head and body before striking both with a blade at North High Street, Musselburgh, on April 30 last year.
It is also alleged Kerr committed both offences having been granted bail on two occasions at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
