Man hurt in lorry collision

A MAN has been left seriously injured in hospital after being struck by a lorry in Tollcross early this morning.

The 31-year-old pedestrian suffered serious head injuries in the collision which took place at around 1.20am in Leven Street.

Police closed the road for around four hours while officers carried out investigations at the scene

The driver of the vehicle has been detained. The collision took place close to the Blackbird Inn.
