A MAN has been remanded in custody charged with two alleged rapes and other offences.
A Crown Office spokesman confirmed that Liam Nelson appeared on petition at Livingston Sheriff Court at a special custody court on Saturday.
Nelson, from Linlithgow, made no plea or declaration and was denied bail.
He was also charged with two statutory breaches of the peace, two breaches of bail conditions and sending an indecent, obscene, offensive or menacing message via the public telecommunications network and police assault.
Nelson, 22, is expected to make a second court appearance for full committal on January 9.
