Man scarred after four on one attack

A MAN was treated in hospital for two large cuts to his head after being attacked by four men as he left a city centre pub.

The 32-year-old victim had left the Castle Bar on Queensferry Street Lane at about 3am on Sunday, and was set upon by the gang as he entered Queensferry Street.

The suspects were all black or mixed race, but police said that no further descriptions were available.

Detective Sergeant Richard Creanor said: “This would appear to be an unprovoked attack which has left a man very seriously injured with what may become permanent scars.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have been on their way home from a night-out, and may have been in the area at the time, to contact us.

“Furthermore, we’d also like to hear from anyone who may have seen the group of four men prior to the attack.”
