Man's body found in street at Sighthill

A MAN'S body has been found in the street in the Sighthill area of the city.

The alarm was raised just after 1am today when he was discovered on Forrester Park Drive.

Police were at the scene this morning when a block of flats was sealed off.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in Edinburgh responded to Forrester Park Drive at around 1.30am on Wednesday April 20 after a man’s body was found in the street.

“Inquiries are ongoing to identify the male and at this time there appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding this death.”

It is understood that his death is likely to be medical.
