Memory tool for sufferers

PATIENTS in the early stages of dementia are to be helped thanks to a memory skills project launched in the city.

Occupational therapists created the tool, which uses therapy to help elderly people adapt to the challenges of the increasingly common mental illness.

Therapist Claire Morgan, who is involved in the scheme, said: “We set up this group so that members could share their experiences and learn a range of practical techniques to cope with the effects memory problems can have on your lifestyle.”
