A CHARITY which helps people with mental health difficulties has received a £200 donation from Asda.

Bonnyrigg-based Orchard Centre Services, run by the charity Health in Mind, supports adults who suffer from health problems such as stress, anxiety and depression.

The centre provides creative, community-based services to promote positive mental health and wellbeing.

It was nominated by customers for the Asda Chosen by you – Given by us scheme, which benefits charities.

Joyce Turnbull, manager of the Orchard Centre Services, said: “To have the support of so many people through the scheme means a lot to everyone involved with the centre and the cheque for £200 will help to support projects throughout Midlothian.”

General store manager Mark McGrevey said: “ASDA Straiton plays a leading role within our local community.

“The team at the Orchard Centre Services are helping people to change their lives and I am delighted to present them with a cheque.”
