Merger talk at prize night

Graduates from Oatridge College in West Lothian have heard that plans to merge four colleges could lead to “a rural university college for Scotland”.

It came during the annual awards ceremony. The top prizes were handed out by Ray Jones, Chairman of Scotland Food and Drink, who said talks now going on to merge Scotland’s four landbased colleges, Oatridge, Elmwood, Barony and the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC) would, if successful, create what he described as a “rural university college for Scotland.”
