A SCHOOLGIRL who went missing at the weekend has been found safe and well in Leith.
Musselburgh Grammar School pupil Nicole Saxby, 13, had not been seen since Sunday at 6.40pm near Wallyford station in East Lothian, close to her home.
Nicole had previously lived in the East Craigs area of Edinburgh and police said they were investigating whether she may have travelled to the Capital over the weekend.
At around 6.25pm last night, they received a report that she had been seen in Great Junction Street, Leith. Officers attended and found her.
She has now returned home.
A police spokesman said: “We can confirm that missing girl Nicole Saxby has been found safe and well. The public are thanked for their assistance with this appeal.”
