Missing woman Margaret Young last seen in Leith

A WOMAN has been reported missing from the Leith area in Edinburgh.

Margaret Young, was last seen in Dock Place on Monday April 18 and since then the 49 year-old has not been in contact with any of her friends and family.

Police are now appealing for information to help trace her whereabouts.

Her car was last seen on the A1 southbound at Thorntonloch around 6.10pm on Monday.

She was driving a silver Vauxhall Antara with the registration BD11 UCF.

Margaret is described as around 5ft 6in with a slim build. She was last seen wearing a dark blue fleece, dark top, black trousers with black high heeled shoes.

Inspector Scott Richardson, of Howdenhall Police Station, said: “Given the passage of time and the fact we haven’t heard from Margaret, we’re increasingly concerned for her.

“It’s possible she may go to the Morpeth area of England, but I’d ask anyone who has any information or has seen Margaret to call us.”
