Moore makes poll position

SCOTTISH Secretary Michael Moore believes he can deliver a referendum that poses a straight Yes/No question on independence.

He said the outcome of a UK Government consultation on the poll backed his argument for a single question rather than a second option asking voters to support more Holyrood powers, known as devo max.

The consultation revealed 75 per cent of 3000 respondents believed Scotland’s future should be decided by one question, with just 12 per cent supporting the option of devo max on the ballot paper.
