Motorcycle gang blamed for golf club thefts

A TEENAGE motorcycle gang has gone on the rampage at a string of Capital golf clubs, pinching sports gear and even stealing a BMW, it was reported today.

German tourists are reportedly among the victims of the crime spree after the yobs smashed the window of their hire car to steal two sets of golf clubs at the city’s Prestonfield Golf Club.

Two other private golf clubs – Duddingston and Murrayfield – have also reportedly been targeted in the last week. The teenagers are also thought to be behind the theft of a BMW car, which was taken from Murrayfield Golf Club, it has been claimed.
