Motorist mugs teenage boy

A TEENAGE boy has been robbed at knifepoint by a mugger who pulled up in a car before demanding his iPhone.

The 16-year-old victim was walking alone when a man stopped in a white Honda and threatened him with a knife on Newbattle Road, close to Newbattle Abbey College, in Dalkeith.

The victim handed over his phone, cash and a gold ring, before the suspect jumped back in the car and drove off towards Newtongrange following the incident, which took place between 5.30am and 6am on Wednesday.
