Mouat makes it two in a row with victory in Oakville Classic
The 2016 world junior gold medallist won the Oakville Tankard at the same venue last week and defeated Korean Chang-Min Kim in both finals as he succeeded Perth’s Kyle Smith as Classic champion.
Having topped Pool C with a 100 per cent record, Mouat and his team-mates Hammy McMillan, Bobby Lammie and Grant Hardie were required to win three knockout matches in the same day, and all three went down to the wire.

Kim was seeking revenge in the final, but the Scots were never behind as they repeated their Tankard victory, although they again had to go to an extra end before prevailing 4-3. As an added bonus, they have also broken into the world’s top 20 after starting the season ranked 33rd.
