Mums urged to get help

THIRTY per cent of Edinburgh mums with pre-school children are so exhausted by the pressure of parenting that they only manage to enjoy half the time they spend with their little ones.

According to a survey by TV channel Cartoonito, 52 per cent of Edinburgh mothers with children under five did not have any childcare support because they could not afford it. Psychologist and parenting expert Dr Pat Spungin said: “Mums certainly shouldn’t feel bad about enlisting some support so they can take some time out for themselves.”
