CITY-based travel search firm Skyscanner has revealed plans to double its workforce over the next year.
The Quartermile-headquartered company employs 250 staff across four offices in the Capital, Glasgow, Singapore and Beijing, with a fifth opening in Miami, Florida, later this year.
It said around two-thirds of the new 250 jobs would be based in Scotland, in roles including engineering, IT, sales and marketing.
Mark Logan, Skyscanner chief operating officer, said: “Our growth over the past year has exceeded even our own ambitious targets thanks to a talented international team.
“Over 20 million people around the world are now using Skyscanner to find their flights, car hire and hotels each month, and our app has been downloaded more than 25 million times.
“We’re delighted to be announcing a significant number of new jobs to enable us to continue to deliver the best travel search site.”
