NHS cuts on target

A REDUCTION in the number of senior managers proves the Scottish Government is serious about reducing costs in the NHS, it has been argued.

Holyrood is on target to reduce the number of senior roles by 25 per cent by 2015. Health secretary Nicola Sturgeon said: “I am pleased to see good progress on the target, which will contribute to more than £100 million a year in non-clinical savings to be spent on front-line services.”
