NHS Lothian: Management report due

HEALTH Secretary Nicola Sturgeon has told MSPs she expects to receive the report into NHS Lothian’s management culture by the end of this month.

She pledged that any recommendations from the independent review would be implemented.

In March, two members of staff were suspended over the fiddling of official waiting lists figures.

In answer to a question from Lothians Tory MSP David McLetchie, she said: “The investigation is now under way.

“I expect that investigation to be robust, transparent and absolutely firm in any recommendations it sees fit to make.

“I can give an assurance that any recommendations it does make will be fully implemented within NHS Lothian.”
