North Bridge closed to traffic following accident
North Bridge is currently blocked to northbound traffic due to a two-car collision on the route.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the route if possible.
Lothian Buses have already confirmed their services are running a diverted route.
Buses are being diverted via George IV Bridge, Market Street and Waverley Bridge until further notice.
All emergency services are on the scene.
The 45, 300, 5, 29,31,37, 7, 8, 14,49, 30, 33, and 3 services are all affected.
The police were first called at around 1:30pm to the incident.
