OAP cut from car
AN ELDERLY man had to be cut free from wreckage after his car smashed into a wall in Gorebridge yesterday morning.
The 77-year-old was left trapped in his vehicle and had to be released using hydraulic cutting gear after his car left the road at Birkenside at around 8:20am.
He was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, but the extent of his injuries are not yet known.
