Olivia’s asthma triumph

A WOMAN who could barely walk 200 yards four years ago because of her asthma is set to run the Edinburgh Half Marathon later this month.

Olivia Fulton, from Kimmerghame Path, near Crewe Toll, will tackle the 13-mile challenge next Sunday to raise money for Asthma UK.

The 26-year-old was diagnosed with asthma when she was three but her condition took a turn for the worse after she developed pneumonia at the age of 18.

She said: “Being able to run the Edinburgh Half Marathon has been my goal for years. I don’t think I’ll finish in a very fast time but just completing it will feel wonderful.”
