EDINBURGH’S Telford College is providing those passionate about music with the chance to pursue their entrepreneurial skills following the launch of a new Music Business Apprenticeship course.
The course, delivered in partnership with the college and the Academy of Music and Sound, covers a broad overview of the working of the music industry.
Eighteen apprentices with Daylight Music Productions will develop valuable skills and network with industry professionals as part of the course.
Head of employer services at the college, Myra Dickson, said she was excited about the apprenticeship, which she added was the first of its kind in Scotland. “We offered 18 places this year as part of a pilot scheme. However, in September we are looking to increase this number.”
