A CAMPAIGN to insulate 6000 homes across East Lothian is halfway to reaching its target.
Funding is available to install loft and wall cavity insulation in 3000 more homes across the county this year.
Householders can save more than £300 a year in energy costs under the scheme.
Councillor Norman Hampshire, the council’s environment spokesman, said: “I’d encourage people to take advantage of the offer while they can.
“This is a great achievement on the journey to a greener, cosier East Lothian, but we still have a way to go.”
