Confusion of lockdown has me in tiers - Hayley Matthews

I have to admit that I'm finding the 5 tier system slightly confusing.

For starters - it isn't 1-5 tiers is 0-4.

There must be a reason for it but I've no idea what, why or even how they came up with it. And for those who haven't got access to access to online information or find it hard to navigate the internet, how did they find out? To be honest I just want to know, do we need to stay in the house or can we go out.

I know it seems quite black and white but the more complex a lockdown system, the more room for confusion and error. I also feel in times like this when we're all in a different situation up and down the country, that there has never been a more important time to have a huge emphasis on live local news streaming everywhere. So please let's get a simple system in place and just tell us, do we stay in the hoose or not?!

I have a simple suggestion however, the big sales companies that are spending their marketing budget on billboards won't like it and that is, get every bus stop that has an advertising space or live billboard to show the latest news on what tier we're in, in very simple terms, for everyone to see. I'm not suggesting we go back to the old days with a man standing on the Royal Mile, ringing a bell, shouting the latest. Mind you, it wouldn't surprise me if we did.
