As a former Old Town tour guide, I loved the unusual places I’ve never been to: the architectural practice built on the old city wall, the restored Riddle’s Court off the Lawnmarket, Scotland’s oldest concert hall, St Cecilia’s Hall and the European Room in the City Chambers.
