We all lead such busy lives these days that it is hard to find the time for all the things that we want to do.

The launch of our Edinburgh Cheer Christmas campaign

In between dashing between family commitments and work, we try to cram in our hobbies - maybe a visit to the gym or an afternoon at Easter Road or Tynecastle - and some quality time with our loved ones. On top of that, pretty much everyone I know wants to be a good neighbour and give something back to the local community too. But it can be hard to fit it all in.

As the festive season approaches, our thoughts tend to turn more towards goodwill to all - just when life can become even more hectic than normal!

That is why today we are launching the Edinburgh Cheer campaign in a bid to bring together the people of Edinburgh and Lothian with some of the good causes who make a real difference on our doorstep. Because nothing brings people together like sport, we are delighted to be teaming up with Hibs and Hearts - and their club charities - with the support of NHS Lothian. Together we can make things a little brighter for some of those facing hard times. And you really can make a difference even if you have just an hour to spare. Please join our team.
