Have your say

EVERY new-build house, refurbished kitchen or conservatory installation has snagging problems.

The same can be said for the trams, new schools, hospitals, IT upgrades or even assembling flat-pack furniture.

Anyone who really believed the £1.35 billion Queensferry Crossing, constructed on time and budget over six years, would be absolutely perfect from its opening with no tweaks required is a gullible La La Lander.

The controversy this has caused is down to nothing more than party politics.

No matter which party was in charge of this project – one that was desperately needed – others wouldn’t miss the chance to stick a verbal knife in. My respect goes to Tories, Labourites, Greens and Lib Dems who have more important, constructive things to do than make a mountain out of a molehill.
