I want to live in city of dreams Los Angeles – Hayley Matthews

Hayley Matthews comes up against practical problems as she dreams of living in Los Angeles, a possible destination for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

With news circulating that Meghan and Harry are quitting “public life” – possibly to go to live in Los Angeles – I can’t help but be a little envious.

For months now I’ve been dreaming about living in LA. I’ve looked at houses online, the best areas to live in, what we could afford, scouted out jobs and even looked at universities.

However, there’s something stopping me – and I think it’s money. The conversation with Mr Hayley about wanting to move went along the lines of, me: “I really want us all to move to LA.” Him: “Ok, you look into that then.”

Somehow I don’t think anyone is taking me seriously, and to be honest I’m not quite sure how we would do it.

Give up our jobs, friends, and responsibilities here and go settle somewhere that we’ve never even been to before? My eight-year old would freak if I told him that I wanted us to move and the practicality of actually putting wheels in to motion is not entirely do-able.

I see the allure and it will be a slice of cake for the royals because they have an entire staff of people ready to sort out their every want.

So I guess a move to LA will need to wait a while for us, or at least until I hatch a plan to get the four of us and four cats over to LA on a few hundred pounds and a head full of dreams.
