Palace backs climate fight

THE lights are set to go out on a famous landmark to raise awareness of climate change.

Linlithgow Palace, birthplace of Mary, Queen of Scots, will be plunged into darkness from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on Saturday to mark the World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour.

It is expected that people in West Lothian and across Scotland will join millions around the world by switching off their lights for 60 minutes to show support for people and wildlife threatened by climate change.
