Panini World Cup sticker book ‘costs £450’ to fill

Have your say

COMPLETING one of the official Panini World Cup 2014 sticker books could cost more than £450, it has been reported.

Mathematicians at the University of Geneva have calculated that, based on the number of stickers required to fill Panini’s Brazil 2014 sticker book, collectors who do not swap stickers will need to buy 989 packets of five stickers.

The research has been highlighted by rival sticker manufacturer, Topps Europe Ltd, who also claimed someone in Scotland had spent £1500 trying to fill the Brazil album.

Panini has produced the official stickers for all but one World Cup since 1970, with Topps complaining about their monopoly.
