An Edinburgh actor and reality TV star who was sacked from a panto for appearing in a porn film has been nominated for an adult entertainment award in Las Vegas.

Craig Chalmers, who first rose to fame on BBC’s Any Dream Will Do, was ousted from the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline after his new career was revealed, but now he is up for the Best Foreign Male Award in the ‘porn Oscars’.
Under the stage name Ryan Ryder, Chalmers has also produced some films, while his wife, Jasmine Jae, has been nominated for Best Foreign Female.
Chalmers appears in Down on Abbey, and is one of only two British males nominated.
