Parachute jump is a leap of faith to boost charity

A CAPITAL woman is set to take the plunge to support her favourite charity.

Suzanne Geary is planning to make her first parachute jump with two work colleagues this June to raise money for city-based charity the Royal National Institute of Blind People Scotland, where she works as a receptionist.

The 35-year-old said: “I feel that if I am going to raise funds for charity, I might as well do something spectacular.

“I did paragliding many years ago, and have always toyed with the idea of taking it further and doing a parachute jump.

“The subject came up at work while chatting with my colleagues Lisa, who is registered blind, and Derek, and they mentioned they were interested too.”
