A SEX beast asked a 12-year-old girl about school and if she had a boyfriend before raping her, a court has been told.
Stephen Watson, a part-time soldier, pleaded guilty to the rape, which took place at a house in Armadale, West Lothian, on February 21.
Watson, who has one previous conviction for vandalism, committed the offence after drinking six pints of beer and a bottle of wine at a party.
The girl was also in the house asleep.
Advocate depute Richard Goddard, prosecuting, told the High Court in Glasgow that Watson, 22, got in bed beside the girl and began touching her inappropriately. He then raped her at 4.30am.
The girl confided in a school friend what had happened, and this was then reported to a teacher who contacted the police.
Watson, whose address was given as Glencourse Barracks in Penicuik, had originally denied raping the girl, but his DNA was found on her.
Judge Lord Burns remanded Watson in custody and deferred sentence until February 5 at the High Court at Aberdeen.
