Parties urged to back youth

YOUTH workers have urged candidates in the city council elections to commit to improving the lives of young people.

They want hopefuls to sign up to four key pledges supporting young people’s work opportunities.

YouthLink Scotland’s chief executive, Jim Sweeney, who has written to each of the main political parties, said: “YouthLink Scotland and its members want Scotland to be the best place in Europe to be a young person.”
