Pensioner’s bag snatched

A PENSIONER had her bag snatched by a mugger as she walked through a car park.

The 78-year-old woman was walking in West Loan in Prestonpans, when a man snatched a carrier bag from her hand at 4.20pm on Wednesday. Police said the bag contained no items of value.

The suspect is 5ft 10in tall, and was wearing a beige beanie hat and a beige hooded top.

A police spokesman said: “While the victim was not hurt, she was shaken.”
