Pensioners in hospital after car hits wall

An elderly man and woman have been taken to hospital after the car they were travelling in hit a wall.

The 93-year-old and 91-year-old had to be cut free from the vehicle by firefighters after the collision on the A198 between Longniddry and Aberlady, East Lothian, at around 2.45pm.

They were taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary by ambulance. The road was closed following the incident.
