Delays on Princes Street as paramedics called to treat elderly woman after fall near Scott Monument
Traffic has been queuing up on Princes Street this afternoon after paramedics were called to treat an elderly woman who fell on the street close to the Scott Monument.
A police spokeswoman said officers were called following reports of concern for a person.
Ambulance staff have been treating the woman but her injuries are not thought to be serious.
However, the council-run Edinburgh Travel News tweeted that Princes Street was initially partially blocked westbound at the Scott Monument due to a "serious incident."
Edinburgh Travel News has since tweeted that Princes Street has fully reopened westbound.
