All Bar One has announced any staff made redundant at Handmade will be guranteed an interview to work at the pub-chain's new venue.

The latest branch will open in Gate 14 at Edinburgh Airport in April this year.

All Bar One head chef John Kelly said: "We have heard of a few restaurant chains closing down and staff losing their jobs recently and it can be really hard for employees, especially if not much notice as been given.

"With staff loosing their jobs and us opening a new branch it just seemed like the right thing to do to step forward and lend a hand.

"We have said that anyone who has been let go from Handmade is guaranteed an interview to work at our new branch."

He said the newest branch is looking to recruit 40 new staff members from bar staff to kitchen staff.

As a result, all 18 restaurants across the UK have shut with the loss of 283 jobs.

In Scotland, the chain had sites in Union Square Aberdeen, Edinburgh’s Ocean Terminal, St Vincent Street in Glasgow and the Breahead shopping centre, which is located on the outskirts of Glasgow.
