Whilst most of the Capital's student population are caught up in coronavirus isolation, Cold Town Beer will be bringing the beer to them in a series of drops across the city today.

Each student will be treated to a can of Cold Town Beer’s flagship craft lager as the brewery’s way to say thank you for staying inside and isolating with their flatmates.

“We can’t begin to image what students are going through at the moment but we’re sure this is not what they had pictured when they received their university acceptance letters," said Ed Evans, Head Brewer at Cold Town Beer.

"As our way to say thank you for isolating and helping slow the spread of the virus, we’re giving away a can of Cold Town Beer lager to students at a number of universities and colleges across the city.

“At this time of the year we should be seeing students starting and returning to University, Fresher’s Fairs would be in full swing and student events would be buzzing – so enjoy a cold one on us and we look forward to seeing you for a pint once it’s safe to do so.”

Cold Town Beer will be visiting university campuses at Heriot Watt University and Queen Margaret University.
