1. Heather Nicol (15th)
Schoolgirl Heather (right) has fought nationally for a change in the law to give children the right to refuse to see a parent convicted of domestic abuse.
2. Donald Emslie (14th)
In October, Emslie was appointed chair of the Edinburgh Tourism Action Group, and pledged to "work hard" to ensure the sector "continues to thrive".
3. Ian Rankin (13th)
The crime writer joined campaigners calling for more protection for Edinburgh from "overtourism", "unregulated" development, and claimate change.
4. Anders Holch Povlsen (12th)
Many locals were pleased to hear that the owner of the Jenners building, Danish billionaire Povlsen, has vowed to invest heavily in the future of the space.
