Gifford: Emergency services attend fire in the centre of an East Lothian village

Emergency services were called on Saturday afternoon to attend a fire in an East Lothian village.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a fire on the main street in Gifford.

They received the call at 4.18pm and sent four appliances to deal with the blaze.

The crews are still in attendance and a full report of the incident is yet to be made.

Police Scotland have been called to help with traffic control.

They have been contacted for comment.
