And so it has been and gone.

Edinburgh has now become the first UK city to join the global Open Streets movement by temporarily banning traffic from key streets.

The move took place today (Sunday) from 12pm to 5pm and further Open Streets events will happen on the first Sunday of each month over an 18-month period.
