Grant Stott’s rendition of That’s Fife! to the tune of Frank Sinatra’s That’s Life has become an East Coast party anthem, with its genuine affection for our neighbours across the Forth wrapped in a bit of mickey taking.

But now the veteran presenter and comedian has taken his much loved parody and re-worked it again as a song for our Covid times with a new recording, retitling the ditty as “Save Lives”.

With a video shot on the streets of the Capital now running on YouTube, the message of the song is a simple one – stay home, help the NHS, and save lives.

Including such lyric gems as “Each time I find some radge, wanderin’ aboot on the loose, I pick maself up and shout ‘get back in the... hoose’” the 3:11-long song adds a touch of colour to the serious situation.

Grant said: “We did it as a bit of fun but with a serious message: Please just stay indoors and save not just your own life, but the lives of others.”
