The Script's Edinburgh Castle concert postponed by a year due to pandemic

This summer's The Script Castle Concert has been delayed by a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This summer's shows were due to feature The Script on Friday 17 July and Stereophonics on Tuesday 23 July.

The Script have been able to reschedule their planned Edinburgh Castle gig this summer to the equivalent Friday next year.

Tickets for the original date are valid for the new show on Friday 16 July 2021.

"We would like to thank ticket holders for their patience while we worked on the options and look forward to a time when we can all enjoy the unique experience of live music again," said Mark Mackie, head of Edinburgh-based Regular Music and the man behind the annual Castle Concerts series.

He added: "If you are unable to make the new date refunds are available from point of purchase."

An announcement on Stereophonics is expected soon.

The Edinburgh Summer Sessions shows in West Princes Street Gardens, which are promoted by DF Concerts, are still due to go ahead at the moment.
