SpeedoMick arrives in Edinburgh on 2000-mile, five-month charity walk
Fundraiser SpeedoMick has passed through Edinburgh on his 2000-mile, five month trek across the UK.
Wearing just speedos and trainers – his uniform for the trek – Michael Cullen thanked big hearted locals for their support as he headed off on the next leg of his epic journey to Falkirk, and then Stepps.
Easter Road stadium, home of Hibs, was one of the capital landmarks he visited on the local leg of his marathon Giving Back fundraiser.
The Liverpool man’s SpeedoMick Foundation aims to support for young people through education, relieving poverty, or the support of mental and physical health.
He stayed overnight in Edinburgh filming from his bedroom window as Scotland fans celebrated a huge performance against England in the Euro2020 championships.
Departing his city centre hotel for day 15 of his walk, he posted a video message urging people to keep donating and supporting his efforts as he began the trek to Linlithgow.
On Sunday he is aiming to walk from Falkirk to Stepps.
Michael began the Scottish leg of his journey in Stornoway, and is heading to Glasgow before crossing the Irish Sea.
As well as raising funds he will be looking for charities and good causes to give up to £250,000 to along the way through his charity.
